Another day of filming for #theLIFENY for MIL Network was underway. Todrick and Austin were still filming with the New York show as they maintained a residence in Manhattan. There were talks of a Vegas franchise to join the group of ATL and NY.
MIL Network featured LGBTQ+ content and represented minorities in ways other networks did not. They still worked with cast members that were not a minority or not even a part of the community, but they supported it. MIL was inclusive for all. It was important for Todrick to continue to represent the community in a positive light and be that role model that she never saw on the screen as she grew up.
The scene opens, and Todrick Tabor-Ramsey has finally unpacked the last box in the new Ramsey home in Las Vegas. The twins were quiet after a long crying session when Daddy left for work. It was like they could sense when he wasn’t at home. They certainly loved their father, and he loved them back. Todrick knew they would have a strong bond with Austin but this early?
TODDY CONFESSIONAL
Todrick Tabor-Ramsey: “Chile, mother is T-I-RED. I have been on the go for several weeks and non-stop since January 2, 2023. That began this new path of eternal bliss for the Ramseys. We have both held gold before, but this time the company didn’t shut down right after our win. Shame on you if you don’t know what I’m talking about. I’m talking about The WGWF West Coast Rumble. It felt good to win those after losing to CCPE at Final Hour over at The Entity.
That was a hard-fought and brutal match, but people have come to expect that when Chris Page and I step into the ring with one another. We needed this win because when we won the OPW Immortal Tag Team Championships, we never got the opportunity to defend them against two very hungry teams. The match was set to go down in Madison Square Garden. The match was never to happen because the company went on hiatus.
Austin and I were devastated. We knew that people would try to discount our accomplishments. We earned those titles; a win is a win, so they will never take that from us. The company is about to reopen, and we were stripped of those titles, but we are so confident in our bond and abilities that we will climb that mountain again.
Speaking of climbing mountains, we have to start that climb at Kaged In on the next Entity show. It is our redemption from our loss when we first stepped through those ropes. I am not embarrassed to lose to two of the best. Truth be told, I hold a victory over each of them from our days in FIGHT. I dethroned the mighty JMont with the Manhattan Championship and went on to hold on to it for several months. I faced Page, and after months of games, I lost to him in yet another brutal match. All that said, the night that it mattered the most, I was the first to pin him and pick up the victory cleanly. That means something; I won’t sit here and downplay what it means to step in the ring with Page or JMont. They are great competitors and veterans in this game, and I pay them their flowers. If you ask my husband, he may say something different, but we all know how Austin is.”
The scene cuts back to Todrick handing the twins over to Berta, their new nanny, courtesy of Thad and Sahara Duke. The two had befriended The Ramseys, well, Thad and Austin started Rocky, but nonetheless, things had significantly improved. They knew Sahara quite well from their FIGHT days and were one of the few persons that had never had an altercation with her. Yes, before you ask, even Austin. Todrick understood Berta and how she worked. She was a blessing because their schedules had become overwhelming with newborns and champion duties.
Toddy stepped into the master bedroom and shut the door. Berta had already drawn a bath for her, and she closed her eyes for a moment and thanked the Lord for her. She stripped and stepped into the tub, and closed her eyes.
TODDY CONFESSIONAL
Todrick Tabor-Ramsey: “Honey, I need to send Thad and Sahara something charming. Berta has indeed been a godsend. In some ways, she has toughened me up. I thought that Diana hated me. She cried whenever I was near her. Dominic is his father’s son; he loved me but only to sucker me in so he could pee on me when I changed his diaper. Then the little jerk laughs about it. But what was I doing wrong with my daughter or girl child, as Austin calls them. Don’t tell him I said this, but I think it’s cute that he says boy child and girl child.
I keep saying they have names and to use them, but I think it’s cute, and they respond so well to him. I know that there is a thing called Daddy’s girl; I’ve seen that with Sam and Whitney. It drives Akasha crazy; look at me spilling the tea. I’m going to get a phone call about that later. Love you, Sis. But seriously, it’s too early for me to have issues with my daughter. I cried and cried, and then Berta wasn’t having that. She got me all the way together. Now I’m working on it with Diana; she still wants her Daddy when she hears his voice or smells his scent; hell, they both do.
I should be used to this because our dogs, Duke and Domino, choose sides. Duke is the smart one; he knows that what his mother says will always win. Domino is bad as hell like his father, but even he looks at Austin like, “Bruh, for real? Are we in trouble again?” It’s both cute and annoying. Specifically annoying when you add Jason Cashe to the mix; like a few days ago, he knows how to push Austin’s buttons and set him up. He knows it but is also intelligent enough to sense the barrier that my loving husband does not. I love Jason and hate him at the same time.
But Austin is not all bad; I married him for a reason. A lot of you wonder how I survive with a man that has 28 documented multiple personalities, but he is the Ying to my Yang. I love that man with every fiber of my being. There is nothing he wouldn’t do for his family. This is the man who has always put my career before his. He was constantly pushing me to greater heights at every place we have ever wrestled at his own expense. He is why I was so successful at FIGHT. He pushed me and didn’t take bookings so he could train me and propel me.
I wasn’t transgender at that time, but I was close, and to win the secondary championship in a company known for anything goes meant something. I still joke with Michelle Riggs to this day that we defended our titles more than anyone else in that company. We were quite good at it too. Austin wasn’t the “good guy,” but he was by my side at every charity event, Make-A-Wish event, and fundraiser I did to represent the goodness in the world and in that company. He didn’t have to do that.
My husband is amazing in that ring, but he always wants to tag me in for the kill shot. He thinks I don’t notice that he does this, but I notice every big but especially the small things he does. It means so much to me because I set out on this path of fame to be a positive representation to all those kids at home who looked and felt like me but never saw that on their screens. It is okay not to understand your body and your feelings until you do. I am giving them that.”
The scene cuts back to Austin who has come home and is between jobs. He is exhausted and walks into the master bedroom. He doesn’t see the twins or Todrick and wants nothing more than to strip off his clothes and collapse into the bed, but he needs to find his wife. He enters the bathroom and sees her resting so peacefully in the tub. He goes turns around and exits the room to get candles. He quietly places them around the bathroom. He slips out of his clothes and hooks his phone up to the Bluetooth speaker system.
He plays a classic, “You’re Makin’ Me High” by Toni Braxton. She opens her eyes, and he slides in the tub underneath her and holds her in his arms. The mood is perfect; however, the couple are so exhausted that they fall asleep.
TODDY CONFESSIONAL
Todrick Tabor-Ramsey: “Girl, what sorcery is this? Now we all know Austin has a sex addiction and is ALWAYS trying to get some, I wake up, and he is underneath me, sound asleep. It is rare that Mr. Giraffe is not knocking at the back door; I must say this is a new development in our story. I am not mad at it because you girl gets tired and sex I’ve had, but sleep I need. Y’all have no idea what THAT is like. I will be looking at Austin like I need you to get some toys are something and let me live. Fun fact, each of the 28 Austins is a different lover, lemme me stop before I “accidentally” wake him up. He definitely knows what he is doing there.”
Todrick flaps a fan open and fans herself. She tilts her head, holds her finger up, and delivers one of her signature Bloops.
Todrick Tabor-Ramsey: “Okay hot rump, focus. I feel like a Power Ranger that needs to say back to action, Chile. All right, is this the part where I’m supposed to address my opponents? I may as well do it while Austin is asleep because, honey, you know he does not like me being nice in these things. He ALWAYS goes and records something angrier and darker. I don’t ever say anything to him when he does that. Another fun fact for my Rockstars. I never want to emasculate him, we aren’t traditional in any sense, but there are some things that we choose to be traditional about because of our upbringing.
There are certain things he insists I don’t do. Look at me; I need to focus because I can talk about him all day and all night. When you think about it, that is one of the things that makes us such a dangerous team to face. We love one another unconditionally and have a nonverbal language that would make twins jealous. Ha, twins, we just had twins.”
Todrick pauses and gives herself a side eye because that was 100% an Austin Ramsey line. She clears her throat and looks around before smoothing out her skirt and continuing.
Todrick Tabor-Ramsey: “I need to get out more. Where was I? Oh yes, we are a dangerous team. Something that the team named Kryptonite is about to learn. This team are some accomplished Luchadors who are quite fearless in the ring. Now I talked about bonds; outside of being married, family is a strong bond, and these two are brothers. They grew up around each other, so their timing in the ring has to be on point. Austin and I have studied tape on them, and it will be interesting to see how our styles match up in that ring. Austin likes to fly, and my technical game is on point.
There are some moments that we will definitely capitalize on because they have their tells. I think it may be because they are so familiar in the ring with one another. That is why you have to do your homework. This team won’t be a walk in the park, but I think we have more than proven that we are not as well. When you pair two teams like this up to face one another, you are all but guaranteeing that this match will steal the show. I almost wish we were opening the show because I feel sorry for whoever has to perform after us.
Kaos and Kruel seem quite humble on the outside, but that ends the moment they step inside the ring. We both have something to prove after our losses at Final Hour. Kaged In is appropriate because both teams want to climb out of this cage of failure. All I’ll say is you know what happens when you cage someone who is hungry, and The Show Stealerz have a ravenous appetite, and we are starving.”
The scene cuts back to Austin standing in the doorway looking at his wife as she towels herself off. He walks over to her and embraces her.
Austin Ramsey: “I missed you today.”
Todrick Tabor-Ramsey: “I missed you as well. The babies definitely wanted Daddy, but Berta showed all three of us some tough love. She really is the best.”
Austin Ramsey: “I want to freeze this moment in time, but speaking of time, did you do your promotional stuff for Kaged In?”
Todrick Tabor-Ramsey: “I did, our schedule is insane, but this is an important match for us. I know it’s me putting pressure on myself, but it feels like a must-win situation.”
Austin Ramsey: “Don’t put yourself in that box. You have enough pressure on you right now. You go out there and do your best, and the rest will happen the way it is supposed to. I got you, and you got me. We will go out there and capture the victory while winning the hearts of the fans.”
Todrick turns around and puts her head on his chest. He holds her tight and kisses the top of her head.
Austin Ramsey: “You were nice, weren’t you?”
Todrick says nothing and rubs his arm.
Austin Ramsey: “Yep, I got work to do.”
He kisses her again, and the scene fades.
