Anthony K. (Tony) Savage
Height: 6'3"
Weight:229 lbs
Billed From: London, U.K. via Atlanta, Georgia
D.O.B. 12/07/1989
Alignment: Monster Face: Goldberg-type face that earns his pops by mauling people in the ring mercilessly. He tends to be very, VERY rough in the ring, especially against heels.
Pic Base: Charlie Hunnam
Fighting style: Technical/MMA: Tony has extensive training across a spectrum of combat styles. He originally started as a boxer in his school days, learned MMA from the Army during his tours in Afghanistan, and spent nearly a decade tweaking his mat wrestling skills. he isn't the flashiest wrestler, but his style is patient, refined, and lethal. He prefers to grind opponents to death, forcing them to wrestle longer periods than they might be used to. It's a very static and slow paced style, meant to methodically tear an opponent apart. High flyers and speed opponents do disrupt this approach; he hates what he calls "flippy dippy spot monkey bullshit!"
Gimmick: Being himself. Tony is an accomplished amateur and professional boxer, decorated U.S. Army veteran of Afghanistan, and generally one of the baddest motherfuckers ever to step into the ring. While some treat the sport like a sleazy carny sideshow, Tony approaches it like a science, a sport. Fight camps, video room sessions, alternating training schedules. Even his ring attire reflects that Fight Night in Vegas mentality and image he emits. He doesn't need Halloween costumes and tricks; he just brings the treats.
Ring attire: (simulated)
Sans gloves unless match stipulates it. Tony is a dual citizen of the U.K. and U.S., and his black warm up jacket is adorned with the Stars and Stripes, as well as the Union Jack. Because he also boxes professionally off the wrestling clock, and is a Heavyweight fighter in Global Combat Championships, he has the names of sponsors on his trunks and jacket. He prefers boxing shoes over wrestling boots because they have better grip on the canvas.
Entrance:
"Off Deez" by J.I.D. hits the P.A. system. Tony's standing at the entrance ramp, bobbing his head to the beat. Soon as the chorus finishes, the pyro goes off, and Tony's marching down the ramp to the ring. He stops ringside, starts counting a stack of cash then...
He just smirks, shrugs, and tosses the dough in the air like Lebron with the baby powder to fans ringside. He gives his warm-up jacket to a young fan, then hops in the ring and and throws some shadow punches until it's time for the bell to ring.
Move set:
The Basics:
Double Leg takedown into a Top Mount (MMA offense after that)
Fisherman's Brain-buster (Pin and impact)
Short Irish Whip into a spinning belly to belly suplex.
T-Bone Suplex
Haymaker punches (crosses, jabs, and hooks)
Double Arm DDT
Shin Breaker
Osaka Street Cutter
Superman Punch (on a rare occasion, he'll do it from the top rope.)
Snap DDT
Calf Crusher submission
Half Boston Crab
Kimura Lock (from the top mount)
Running forearm shiver
Running Bionic Elbow
Single Leg takedown
Indian Death Lock
Reverse Russian Leg Sweep
Boxing stance: If he goes into sparring mode, he unload combos and loves to sidestep opponents. He also hits opponents from awkward angles
Signature Moves:
Spinebuster to End ALL Spinebusters! (The Triple H version of the classic)
Ten Piece and a Biscuit
Works his opponent in the corner like a heavy bag, landing 10 vicious punches before an uppercut knocks them on their ass.
Dead to Rights
The One Wing Angel
Finishers:
One Shot, One Kill: Ox Baker Style Running Heart Punch
Trans Atlantic Tap-Out
The Peruvian Necktie
Biography:
From boxing rings to battlefield to arenas, Tony has built a reputation across the wrestling industry as one of the most legitimate fighters in the game. 9 years, 4 world titles, and a whole list of meat-bags he's put to the fire. Born in Buckhead, Atlanta Georgia and introduced to the MMA and wrestling game as a U.S. Army Ranger. Since 2012, from VWF halls to venues like MSG, AT&T, and his beloved Royal Albert Hall (he lives less than a mile from that venue, and has performed there several times.)the man brings that big fight night style to every venue he goes.
But the life is a rough one. Prescription addiction, beefs, and personal problems associated with combat PTSD have also hampered him. You know, the same ol' same ol'! Near the brink of losing his life and career, he steered the ship right, and now, is ready to return to his proper place...
As one of the best to ever do it.
You'll remember what the hype was all about... COME FIGHT NIGHT!!
